“MAKEUP IS THERE FOR YOU TO PLAY. IT’S THERE FOR YOU TO HAVE FUN WITH. IT SHOULD NEVER FEEL LIKE PRESSURE, AND IT SHOULD NEVER FEEL LIKE A UNIFORM.” – RIHANNA
Rihanna launches her new makeup range with 3 steps of perfection and everyone is talking about them, which were launched on 8th September, and we’re just now seeing thorough reviews from everyday beauty consumers. The range includes 40 different shades of foundation and 10 highlighters. The ‘Gloss Bomb’ lip gloss comes in one universally flattering shade of rose gold. The products are relatively affordable. The range of products is for all skin types and becoming quite a buzz between women.
“Fenty Beauty was created for everyone: for women of all shades, personalities, attitudes, cultures, and races,” Rihanna wrote on her makeup line’s website. “I wanted everyone to feel included.”
At the launch, Rihanna talked about the need of diversified shades in the products, how it’s so important to apply the right shade on the right skin tone. The single shade ‘GlossBomb’ is assumed to be the perfect shade of gold any one would want on their lips.
The Fenty Beauty collection also includes brushes, a sponge and a compact mirror. Rihanna being a well known celebrity launched a product which serves all kinds of multiculturalism, the brand is a hit by default. Dark skin isn’t monolithic, anymore than light skin is. It’s a spectrum. Fenty Beauty reflects that range, and it’s being rewarded.
